From February through November, enjoy a visit with the animals, and chat with our volunteer barn guides every Saturday and Sunday from 11am-1pm (with the exception of some special events and holidays*).

During the program, our volunteer barn guides greet visitors and will invite you to meet our livestock up close. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This program is free to the public and does not require an appointment.

If you are interested in seeing the animals outside of our regularly scheduled Open Barn times, you can often spot the cows and sheep in the pasture during the day, unless they have been brought in for a field trip or other program or if they are eating in the barn in the morning.

Interested in becoming a Volunteer Barn Guide?

Volunteers are needed to give tours of the Barn. Arrangements will be made for you to shadow an experienced Barn Guide until you feel comfortable giving tours on your own. We are now offering a new opportunity for parents/guardians to be barn guides with their child. Children must be 11 years of age and be accompanied by an adult. It’s a great opportunity for both to learn about the inner workings of a farm and its livestock while educating others. If you are interested in becoming a Barn Guide, download a Volunteer Application. Once the completed application is received, someone will be in touch with you to make arrangements to have you shadow another Barn Guide. We look forward to hearing from you!
