Stony Kill Foundation’s Homeschool on the Farm is a great way to supplement your child’s homeschool education and find a community of other local homeschooling families. The program is geared towards students ages 5 to 12.
Step outside the classroom this fall for a hands-on homeschool experience where students learn through exploration, experimentation, and time spent in nature. Our fall program meets on Wednesdays or Thursdays, with a maximum of 12 students per day, creating a small-group environment for curiosity, discovery, and connection.
Throughout the season, students will dig into the natural world in exciting and practical ways—from fall gardening and cool-weather crops to foraging and cooking with nature’s bounty. They’ll test our farm pond water while exploring pond ecology, discover the fascinating reptiles and amphibians of New York State, and travel through the layers of a time-traveling forest to uncover how landscapes change over time.
Designed for curious, hands-on learners, this program blends science, nature, history, creativity, and real-world skills into an unforgettable fall of learning outdoors.
Fall registration starts Thursday, August 20th at 10 am.
