The Stony Kill Farm Pod is a day program for children aged 7-12 that incorporates access for remote learning while offering outdoor programming throughout the day. SK staff will oversee setting up work stations and assist with remote learning. Lunch will be outdoors (weather permitting). The afternoon will continue with remote learning when appropriate and an outdoor program (weather permitting) until pick up. Otherwise, appropriate indoor programs will be held. Children should be dressed and prepared for seasonal weather. Outdoor programs may include hikes, scavenger hunts, visits with our livestock, garden time, pond time, community service, nature-based crafts, etc.

Parents will need to provide each child with the following: charged computer/chromebook with cord, ear buds or headphones & some school supplies (notebook, pencils, box of crayons, glue sticks, dry erase marker) in a back pack, lunch & refillable water bottle, 2 snacks, picnic blanket, & mask. Use of a microwave or refrigerator will not be available.

Ages: 7 – 12 (must be 7 by the first day of program)
Start date: September 29, End date: February 26 (although the program may be extended to a second semester) We will be following the Beacon City School District for holidays and snow closures.
No program: October 12, November 25-27, December 21 – January 1, January 18, February 15
